The surrounding landscape is criss-crossed with many marked hiking trails – both on the Czech side and in neighbouring Poland. The border crossing is approximately 1 km from the apartments. The surroundings of Machov offer a wide range of options for both active and relaxing holidays. Broumovsko is a protected landscape area with unique sandstone rock formations, including the Adršpašsko‑teplické skály and Broumovské stěny, threaded with a network of marked hiking and cycling trails. The region also has cultural landmarks such as the Benedictine monastery in Broumov, baroque churches, folk architecture and museums. The Náchod area attracts visitors with impressive castles, military fortifications and bunkers, observation towers and nature trails, and includes Babiččino údolí with Ratibořice Castle and the Rozkoš reservoir.
The whole region is ideal for hiking, cycling and exploring history and culture. Thanks to nearby border crossings, you can easily reach the Polish Góry Stołowe (Table Mountains) or the spa town of Kudowa-Zdrój and discover the scenic landscape and viewpoints on both sides of the border.
